The 2016-2017 AAU League Season began November 5, 2016 and continued through February 26, 2017. During the season, both Officials and Score Clock Operators are needed every weekend. AAU games run every Saturday during the League Season in Spokane area gyms. Both Officials and Score Clock Operators will be assigned two to four sequential games each Saturday they are scheduled. Games are eight minute quarters with standard clock stoppages and are scheduled every hour and twenty minutes.
Spokane AAU Basketball also runs three regional tournaments during the season, which will take place at the beginning of November, mid-December and at the end of February. Games will be held on both Saturday and Sunday during the tournaments.

Position: AAU Official
Handles the officiating of boys and girls 4th-8th grade basketball games. Officials will be expected to arrive fifteen minutes prior to their scheduled game time.
Officials must currently belong to either the men's or women's association in Spokane or must have formerly belonged to either association or the equivalent elsewhere. New officials must participate in our annual training clinic the weekend of the Boo Ball Fall Classic and demonstrate the ability to consistently officiate at this level.
Position: AAU Score Clock Operator
Handles the score clock for boys' and girls' 4th-8th grade basketball games. Shot clocks will also be utilized for all boys girls’ 6th-8th grade games. Score Clock Operators will be expected to arrive fifteen minutes prior to their scheduled game time.
Score Clock Operators must be at least fourteen (14) years of age and will be required to participate in a pre-season training session.
