Each player and coach, including assistant coaches and the team contact (if he or she is also participating as a coach), is required to have a current AAU card to be involved in the league. This is a membership card that also provides supplemental liability and medical insurance during AAU-sanctioned events and activities. AAU card numbers are required on each team's league and tournament rosters and the cost for the cards is separate from your team's registration fee. You must provide a copy of those cards in your registration packet in order for it to be complete. Parents and coaches should also keep copies of the cards for their records.
Cards are not available for purchase in the league office. Cards may be purchased online through the National AAU website.
For those who are purchasing multi-year AAU cards, you will be responsible to retain a copy of the AAU card and give it to the coach so that it can be remitted along with a registration packet each year until the card expires.
