The 2011-2012 AAU League Season begins November 12, 2012 and continues through February 18, 2012. During the season, both Officials and Score Clock Operators are needed every weekend. Spokane AAU Basketball also runs four regional tournaments during the seasons which will take place in September, October, December, and February. Games will be held on both Saturday and Sunday during the tournaments.

Position: AAU Official

Description

Handles the officiating of boys and girls 4-8 grade basketball games. Officials will be expected to arrive fifteen minutes prior to their scheduled game time.

Scheduling

AAU games run every Saturday from November 12, 2011 through February 18, 2012 in Spokane area gyms. Officials will be assigned two to four sequential games every Saturday they are scheduled. Games are four, eight minute quarters with standard clock stoppages and are scheduled every hour and twenty minutes.

Requirements

Officials must currently belong to either the men's or women's association in Spokane or must have formerly belonged to either association or the equivalent elsewhere. New officials must participate in our annual training clinic the weekend of the Boo Ball Fall Classic (November 5 & 6) and demonstrate the ability to consistently officiate at this level.
